One of our latest builds is nearing completion, a Pressure Decay tester as a part of a bigger project for one among our returning automotive customers.
This machine carries out two styles of pressure tests, employing a Furness control leak tester to check the leak rate to the atmosphere and therefore the leak rate across the inner piston of the merchandise.
Festo cylinders are connected to the merchandise using WEH leak-proof connectors when air is applied to the WEH connectors a bellow on the rod expands creating an airtight seal with the merchandise.
Once the merchandise passes the 2 leak tests a DPM (direct part mark) is applied via a dot-peen Telesis unit. this method are controlled with an Allen Bradley PLC programmed at QM by our control engineers.
