Weld Integrity Testing Machine
The Weld Integrity Testing Machine is a standalone machine to test the integrity of a weld for pipe and coil which is used to clean plumbing and waste pipes.
The test begins when a component will be loaded into the machine via the operator, the operator will move the jaws to the desired location before closing the guarding. The operator will activate the test via an HMI which is controlled via a RedLion PLC.
Hydraulic jaw clamps the part and a torque drive engages with the base of the spring, and torque is applied through a rotational HBC torque transducer. The Component can be rotated up to 720 degrees in clockwise and anti-clockwise directions. A force up to 500-inch lbs of torque can be applied, whilst the PLC monitors torque vs angular movement at the base of the spring in relation to the spring body and will plot a measurement curve comparing against programmed but adjustable parameters.
